WonderTune Beijing + Shanghai… and Mongolia.
Since we went to Japan, Jeni’s 50% motherland, twice in the last two years, it was my turn to go back to my 75% motherland (I’m also 25% Lao!). This time, we would be focusing on Beijing and Shanghai. As a Chinese, I feel it’s important to see one of China’s most marvelous monuments – the Great Wall. The 31,000 mile long wall made of stone, brick, dirt, mud and wood can be seen from outer space. Rumor has it in some sections of the wall, perished workers were buried underneath. From Beijing, we’ll be entering the city of Ulaan Baatar, Mongolia and experiencing the nomadic lifestyle of the great Mongolian people for under two weeks. Lastly, we’re finishing off our expedition in Shanghai, where we will bathe in the overflowing juices of the city’s most revered dish, the soupy dumpling known as xiao long bao (XLB). We are very excited as the stop in Mongolia might make this one of the most significant journeys we’ll ever make. And of course… a compilation for you.
